FAQs – All You Need to Know

How do I get inside?
image

You will receive an email detailing the building code and game code. Please enter the building code (e.g. "#1234#" - need the #) at either the front or backdoor keypad. Please check your spam/junk email or contact us if you have not received this :)

How many rooms do you have?
image

We currently have just one room in operation — the Lyttleton Crater Room — which can host up to 6 players. A bigger second room is on the way soon!

How do I access the game?
image

You will receive an email detailing the building code and game code. Please enter the game code from the email (e.g. "123456") on the screen. The code will ONLY work at the start of your booking time. Please check your spam/junk email or contact us if you have not received this :)

Do you take walk-ins?
image

No, we do not take walk-ins. All room bookings are made online to ensure a private and uninterrupted experience with your group. This way, no one can accidentally walk in while you're playing. You can book up to 10 minutes before the next game session time.

Is there storage to put my stuff?
image

Yes we provide lockable storage lockers inside the premises.

What is the grace period?
image

The grace period is a 2 minute window before the end of your session. This gives you and your group time to exit the room safely without bumping into the next group.

Do I need to wear closed toe shoes?
image

Yes please wear appropriate closed toed shoes when playing at GridGames.

How thin does my shoe sole need to be?
image

We currently recommend your shoe sole to be under 25mm. Anything thicker can affect the game experience (a lot more stomping) - we're working on improving this :')

What is the minimum age?
image

Our recommended minimum age is 8. Children between 4-8 can still play but due to their size, their game experience might be affected.

Is there staff onsite?
image

Nope 😄 It’s all self-service so your crew gets the run of the place without us hovering. But don’t worry — we’ve got eyes on you (via cameras) to keep things safe… and maybe catch your best moves!

The Lyttleton Crater Room - Campaign Mode

Team up and smash those blue tiles while dodging the deadly reds! Rack up points as you climb through the levels, then see if your high score makes it onto the leaderboard. (Perfect for beginners ready to play!)

The Lyttleton Crater Room - Battle Mode
image

Two teams. One showdown. Clear the blues, dodge the reds, and find out who finishes with the highest score!

The Lyttleton Crater Room - Casual Mode
